Lyme disease, a significant zoonosis, remains vastly underdiagnosed in Europe, with a lack of consensus on diagnosis, treatment, and screening. Chronic Lyme sufferers are scattered, and various Borrelia strains cause distinct symptoms, highlighting the need for screening where treatment occurs. Robust research relies on large case counts to refine diagnostics and treatments. In Hévíz, renowned for effective therapies, I propose establishing a center to systematically study and treat Lyme-related conditions.
