The number of pathologists worldwide is low and their distribution is highly unbalanced. Both information sharing and training are key to cost-effectively alleviating the shortage of pathology professionals. PathoVR enables real-time 3D visualization by displaying huge data volumes. It opens up new horizons in both research, clinical pathology and medical education. It creates a multi-user, immersive online collaborative space for 3D object visualization, manipulation and sharing.
